1. Students should face the northeast, north or east while studying according to Vastushastra.

2. Never study facing a blank wall.

3. The room should have sufficient natural and artificial light for reading for long duration.

4. If you are using table lamp for studying, the bulb of the table lamp should not be exposed.

5. Television should not be kept near the study room.

6. Books must be kept neatly arranged in the southwest side of the room.
